TENIX
BUS
Tenix Bus is the product that we supply to operate the buses.
An easy way to describe the product are that we digitalize the buses.

Operational data for the vehicle fleet of buses is available for the company management as reports or raw historical data that can be used by their own analysts. Ready-made reports, based on historical operational data, are available for the management.
Historical data for all operations are present in the Tenix Bus, where the customer’s data analysts can extract data to use for their own analysis and reporting purposes. This can be handy for customized reports to provide further insight into operational data.
Data can also be produced for third party APIs on request, to provide integration with external platforms for finance, HR etc.
The main component of our Vehicle Platform is our Tenix VCG (Vehicle Communication Gateway) which has the official ITxPT label. This means that the customer can decide to have an IT infrastructure in the vehicle based on components from different suppliers. The VCG makes sure that all necessary data are flowing where they should. Of course, we can also deliver the complete hardware platform, with some or all of the following components:
- Automatic Passenger Counting (APC)
- External destination displays
- Internal TFT displays for passenger information and infotainment
- CCTV
- Multi Application Driver
- Terminal (MADT)
- Sales and Ticketing equipment (tablet, NFC scanner, payment terminal)
The Tenix VCG collects data from FMS Gateway, which is a standardized, manufacturer independent interface for busses. FMS data give useful insight of the vehicle and drivers’ performance, which can help optimize vehicle usage and utilization. In addition, data is, where needed, collected from proprietary interfaces to further enhance the data collection, such as battery condition on electric busses.
Data collected from the Tenix Vehicle Platform can easily generate additional value through other Tenix modules:
- Tenix Automatic Vehicle Monitoring (AVMS)
AVMS gives an extra layer of control of the fleet operations. In addition to the vehicle level functionality, Tenix AVMS gives the necessary overview of how the operation runs according to the schedule, and gives the dispatcher guidelines for when to perform operational measures like cancelling/curtailing vehicle journeys, inserting additional vehicles.
